Bespoke Event Welfare was born out of Colin Eade’s work with Penny Mellor at the T in the Park festival. It is now a partnership with the aim of providing a professional, best practice approach to delivering a customer service or welfare service to festivals.
The aim of our service is to provide attendees at festivals with confidential and professional care and support for all kinds of personal and practical problems. In addition, the service often includes co-ordinating the lost children service, managing lost property and support for medical services.
Our model was trialed with great success at Hop Farm Festival in 2011 and we will be returning there for 2012. In the future we hope to develop a training programme for staff to enable us to roll out the service to other events.
